Led by multiple World Champion coaches Konrad Doerrbecker and Pat Bradley with assistance from Spain’s DBF president Jorge Carrecedos, and British Premiere Head Coach, Tim Smith. This advanced, in depth program will explore topics such as the following:

Periodized and block season planning and training
Practice planning
Stroke technique as well as teaching stroke technique to competitive athletes
Advanced drill reinforcement
Advanced, customized race strategy and tactics
Teaching aggressive, effective and customized starts
Mental and physical race preparation
Athlete testing, recruitment and assessment protocols
Training off the water
Maximizing the effect of drummers and steers people
Ideal boat set ups for 200m, 500m and 2000m races
Transitioning athletes from recreational to competitive /elite programs

 Level 1 Pan Am Coach Certification
 Level 1 Dragon Boat Canada or USDBF Coach Certification
 Coaching resume and references regarding past coaching experience, including some steering experience
*Acceptance based on a coaching resume subject to approval
